This is a very traditional bead incorporated in Native American beadwork
from the Bonda (or Bondo) tribe of the state of Odisha (formerly Orissa)
Probably used for tobacco
irregularly shaped cast beads that are roughly 8-10mm long x 9-11mm diameter with 2-3mm hole
and it has been enhanced sometime in the early 1900s (the upper half of the bead has been spruced up with paint of some sorts)
Greasy-Green Jonquil Vaseline Beads Black and white This is a very traditional24" strand of antique greasy green jonquil color vaseline beads. 9mm diameter x 6mm to 13mm diameter x 8mm long with small 1mm hole on one end, large 3 4mm hole on the other end (conical drill). Bohemia glass, Czech region from the mid 1800s and traded in West Africa. Each strand is unique with some various cuts, smoothness from wear and color. Good condition!
